Today is Palm Sunday. This is the first day of Holy Week. A time to go deeper. A time to prepare. A time to commit. The last five weeks we contemplated our preparations, our commitment to making a difference, to taking action. Today we have a choice to make. Which parade to take part in? Would we like to be in Pilate’s Parade? Its’ prestige, power and authority was and is present for all to see. It can make us feel important. Or do we want to follow Jesus, the one on the donkey with a ragtag group of followers who may be laughed at as they wave their palm branches and celebrate Jesus as one who comes from God.
