Today is the fourth Sunday of Lent. A time to go deeper. A time to prepare. A time to commit. The last three weeks we contemplated our preparations, our commitment to making a difference, to taking action. Today we hear Jesus tell a parable. It was what we’ve come to know as the prodigal son. But it also includes his father, and his older brother who stayed home and helped their dad on the family farm. Jesus tells parables to share a truth that others are not able to see or understand. We are invited to learn something from this story and put into action the learning to make this a better world, to make a difference.
