Have you ever thought that sometimes we might just be in God’s way? Have any of us ever thought we do that? In Acts chapter 11 Peter gets in God’s way and then Peter gets out of God’s way after he becomes aware in a dream, of God’s voice telling him to basically get out of the way. God has work to do.
Every single on of us has biases, stereotypes, and all sorts of boxes we put people in. What part of God’s dream have you received? Today we’re going to meet Peter (aka humorously as Peter of the Sheet). Remember him…God gives him a dream that includes a white sheet being lowered from a hole in the sky and through that dream and others…God gets what God wants. What part of God’s dream has God given to YOU? In the dream God gave to Peter, Peter could have easily replied, “Uh, nah. I’m good God. I’ve never touched unclean food and I’m not about to start now. Thanks anyway.” But Peter kept his heart and mind open, aware that God was working through him.
